The Shadow, Half-Heartedness. Someone asks, and yes is said before you have checked. Then you are in something you did not choose, doing it at sixty per cent and looking for the exit. People get the yes, then the half-version, then the withdrawal. And you begin to believe you are someone who cannot follow through.
The Gift, Commitment. The way through is to pause before the yes and consult your gut before your guilt. Say fewer yeses. Then give the ones you keep everything you have, all the way to the end. That’s Commitment: the power that comes from choosing, then staying.
The Siddhi, Devotion: giving yourself so wholly to life that you dissolve into what you love, with nothing held back.
