Gene Key 31 moves from Arrogance to Humility
The question this key keeps asking: “Why aren’t they listening? Don’t they know I’m right?”
The Shadow, Arrogance. You can see what the group needs, and you are often right, so you say it. Then you push it. People begin to feel lectured, nod along and quietly do their own thing. That stings, so you push harder. Your voice carries, even when nobody asked for it.
The Gift, Leadership. The way through is to listen first, longer than feels comfortable, and speak for what people actually need rather than what you would prefer. Wait to be asked, then say it plainly. That’s Leadership: a voice people trust because it has been listening.
The Siddhi, Humility: a humility so complete that you lead by stepping aside, letting what’s true speak without your name on it.
People follow the voice that heard them. They tune out the one that told them.
