It feels like protection. To the people close to you it feels like a trapdoor, and they start watching their step. The thing that needed changing stays where it was.
The Gift, Revolution. The way through is to feel the hurt first and decide later. Let the heat pass all the way through your body before you act. What remains is usually a clear sense of what has to change, and the steadiness to change it properly. That’s Revolution: changing the thing, not exiling the person.
The Siddhi, Rebirth: dying to the old self completely and being reborn fresh, beyond reacting to anything, with your heart open to all life.
