Gate 61 and Gene Key 61: Inner Truth
Gate 61 is Inner Truth, a gate in the Head centre on the Individual circuit. As Gene Key 61, it runs from the Shadow of Psychosis, through the Gift of Inspiration, to the Siddhi of Sanctity. It is Hexagram 61 of the I Ching. The Sun passes through it each year from about January 10 to January 15.

Gate 61 is about truthfulness and the commitment to inner alignment
In Human Design, Gate 61 sits in the Head centre, in the Knowing stream of the Individual circuit. Individual circuitry carries mutation. It exists to bring something genuinely new, which is why it is felt as different rather than useful, and why its timing cannot be scheduled.
Lived consciously: Living in alignment with inner truth. Truthfulness becomes natural. The person lives authenticity.
Lived unconsciously: Hiding truth from self and others. Inauthenticity that creates internal conflict. Truth denied.

Gene Key 61 moves from Psychosis to Sanctity
The question this key keeps asking: “But why? What does it all mean? Why can’t I work this out?”
The Shadow, Psychosis. Your mind wants the large answer: why this happened, what it means, what the point is. So it turns the question over in the night and builds theories that never quite close. The people near you hear the lecture, or meet a version of you that is present in body and absent in mind.
The Gift, Inspiration. The way through is to stop demanding the answer and let the question rest in you. What matters tends to arrive in the gap, often during something ordinary. When it does, follow it before it makes sense. That’s Inspiration: acting on a spark you cannot fully explain.
The Siddhi, Sanctity: living inside the great mystery of life, where every question falls silent and you no longer need to understand to feel whole.
The mind wants to solve the mystery. You get to live inside it.
