The birth card for December 3 is the Two of Diamonds
Diamonds is the suit of money and values, so your deepest lessons arrive through what you earn, spend and value, including what you believe you are worth.
As a Two, you do your best work beside someone, and can lose track of which opinions were yours. The card dares you to say what you want out loud, even inside a close partnership.
At work you do well in a close team or a real two-person partnership, where your reading of people is half the job.
In love you give a great deal, and each time you say “I don’t mind” your partner gets less of the real you.
The Sun is in Sagittarius, or Scorpio in the sidereal zodiac
The tropical zodiac follows the seasons; the sidereal zodiac follows the constellations, which have drifted about 24 degrees since the two were aligned. So on December 3 the Sun is in Sagittarius by one reckoning and Scorpio by the other.
Sun in Sagittarius: You feel most alive when you are moving toward meaning: a vision, a truth, a horizon. The restlessness is not a flaw. The question is whether you are moving toward something or away from staying.
Sun in Scorpio: Your identity runs deep. You are drawn to what is true beneath the surface, and you will not settle for what is false. That intensity is your compass. It becomes a weapon only when used against people.
Around the change of sign, the exact day shifts by year. Your chart settles it.
The Sun is in Gate 5, Fixed Rhythms
In Human Design and Gene Keys, the Sun on December 3 is in Gate 5: your Personality Sun, and the key at the centre of your Life’s Work. Fixed attention and the capacity to hold focus through repetition.
As Gene Key 5, it runs from the Shadow of Impatience, through the Gift of Patience, to the Siddhi of Timelessness.
Gates change every five or six days, so near the edges your Sun may sit in the gate next door. Your chart shows the line too.
Your birthday number is 3: the Voice
The birthday number is a specific talent carried in the day you arrived: the day of the month, 3.
3, The Voice: Expression. Three is not performance; it is creativity, play, and the word that needs to be said out loud.
You are here to say it, write it and make it. The work is finishing one thing rather than starting five, because expression only lands once it is complete.
Read together, these say more than any one alone
A birthday fixes your birth card, your Sun sign and your Sun gate. The year, the time and the place fill in the rest: the Life Path number, the rising sign and the whole Human Design chart. We read them together, each one a lens on you. That’s where a birthday starts sounding like a person.
