Mars in Aries: you act instantly and you do not hold back
Mars is drive: how you go after what you want, and how you fight.
You act instantly and you do not hold back. Your energy is direct, competitive and courageous. The shadow is mistaking conflict for being alive.
Aries is fire, cardinal and ruled by Mars
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your Mars may be in Aries in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Taurus usually sits in sidereal Aries, and a tropical Aries Mars is often sidereal Pisces.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.

Is my Mars in Aries sidereal or tropical?
