South Node in Aries: Sidereal and Tropical
The South Node, Ketu in Vedic astrology, is what you already know by heart and can over-rely on. In Aries, you already know independence and self-reliance; that strength is in you. Aries is a fire sign, cardinal, ruled by Mars. A sidereal South Node in Aries is often a tropical South Node in Taurus.

South Node in Aries: you already know independence and self-reliance; that strength is in you
The South Node, Ketu in Vedic astrology, is what you already know by heart and can over-rely on.
You already know independence and self-reliance; that strength is in you. The growth now is learning to receive, to partner, and to let someone else lead without losing yourself.
Aries is fire, cardinal and ruled by Mars
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your South Node may be in Aries in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Taurus usually sits in sidereal Aries, and a tropical Aries South Node is often sidereal Pisces.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.

It depends on the degree. The zodiacs are about 24° apart, so a late-Aries tropical South Node is usually sidereal Aries too, while an early one is sidereal Pisces. Your chart settles it.
