North Node in Capricorn: you are growing toward responsibility, mastery and building something that lasts
The North Node, Rahu in Vedic astrology, is where life pulls you to grow.
You are growing toward responsibility, mastery and building something that lasts. Your familiar ground is emotional safety and family loyalty. The growth is building in public.
Capricorn is earth, cardinal and ruled by Saturn
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your North Node may be in Capricorn in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Aquarius usually sits in sidereal Capricorn, and a tropical Capricorn North Node is often sidereal Sagittarius.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.
