The traditions · Numerology

Your name and your birthday add up to something. Literally.

Numerology turns your birth date and your name into a handful of numbers, and gives each one a meaning.

Your reading introduces the numbers in your map and the themes the tradition gives them.

It is the only part of your map that reads your name as well as your birth, so it draws on something the chart-based systems never see.

What it brings to your Manual

Numerology starts from a different input to everything else in your map. That’s what makes agreement with it worth noticing.

  • JOY & CREATIVITY: What the tradition says about making things, and how you make yourself understood.
  • CAREER & INDIVIDUALITY: Your direction, read as a path rather than a job title.
  • HEALTH & FORTUNE: The pace of the year you’re in, and how to keep up with it.

The date and the name say different things.

Birth-date numbers and name numbers describe different parts of you. Name-based numbers use the name you give, so check its spelling before you begin.

The calculation follows a method. The meaning given to the result comes from the tradition and from this platform's reading.

Every year has a number, and the number changes.

Personal cycles sit alongside the other cycles in your map. Use them to reflect on the period you are living through, and on the questions you want to bring to it.

Each dated cycle shows the boundary it is calculated from, so you can see which stretch a theme is describing.

A master number is a pressure, not a promotion.

Eleven, twenty-two and thirty-three are often talked about as though they were a reward. Within the tradition, they describe a higher-pressure version of the number underneath.

Your reading says when you carry one and what the tradition associates with it. It does not tell you that it makes you exceptional.
