Gate 18 and Gene Key 18: Correction
Gate 18 is Correction, a gate in the Spleen centre on the Collective circuit. As Gene Key 18, it runs from the Shadow of Judgement, through the Gift of Integrity, to the Siddhi of Perfection. Gate 18 is about judgment and the capacity to perceive what needs to be changed
In Human Design, Gate 18 sits in the Spleen centre, in the Logic stream of the Collective circuit. Collective circuitry carries sharing. Whatever it produces is meant to be usable by people who were not there, which is why it works through pattern, logic and story.
Lived consciously: Clear seeing of what is broken or wrong and how to fix it. Judgment becomes incisive wisdom. The person identifies necessary corrections.
Lived unconsciously: Critical judgment that wounds. Pointing out problems without offering solutions. Judgment becomes harsh and diminishing.

Gene Key 18 moves from Judgement to Perfection
The question this key keeps asking: “What’s wrong with this? What’s wrong with me?”
The Shadow, Judgement. You see the flaw first: the error, the crooked frame, the thing someone said years ago. You cannot unsee it, so you say it, or go quiet and hold it against them. Inside, the same critic is on you all day. The people around you start apologising before you have spoken.
The Gift, Integrity. The way through is to turn that eye for flaws into care. Correct the thing, not the person, and begin with yourself, gently enough that you would listen. That’s Integrity: putting right what is off because you love it, and staying whole while you do.
The Siddhi, Perfection: seeing that everything, flaws included, is already perfect as it is, so the urge to correct the world simply falls away.
Judgement says it is wrong. Integrity says let us make it right, together.
