Gate 23 is about assimilation and the capacity to integrate diverse influences

Lived unconsciously: Fragmentation from too many influences. Trying to be all things to all people. Energy becomes scattered and incoherent.

The Shadow, Complexity. You know exactly what you mean. Then you explain it, and add context, a caveat, another angle and a related story. By the end people are nodding politely and nobody is sure what the point was, including you. So you explain again, while your own mind holds forty open threads.
The Gift, Simplicity. The way through is to find the one sentence and stop there. Say it, then let the silence do part of the work. Cut until it feels almost too little. That’s Simplicity: trusting the plain version to carry the weight on its own.
