The birth card for May 12 is the Seven of Diamonds
Diamonds is the suit of money and values, so your deepest lessons arrive through what you earn, spend and value, including what you believe you are worth.
As a Seven, you look for the truth beneath things, and trust it only once you have tested it yourself. The card dares you to trust what you have already learned and keep going when it is hard.
At work you do best with room to think, study and check things for yourself, because being told is not the same as knowing.
In love you need a partner you can trust and time alone to find your footing, and saying so before you withdraw is a kindness.
The Sun is in Taurus, or Aries in the sidereal zodiac
The tropical zodiac follows the seasons; the sidereal zodiac follows the constellations, which have drifted about 24 degrees since the two were aligned. So on May 12 the Sun is in Taurus by one reckoning and Aries by the other.
Sun in Taurus: Your identity rests on what is real: what you can touch, hold and prove. That is your strength, and it can become your trap when you keep holding what is solid after it has stopped being true.
Sun in Aries: Your identity is built through action. You come alive when you move first, and playing it safe leaves you flat. Boldness is not the risk. The risk is mistaking motion for meaning.
Around the change of sign, the exact day shifts by year. Your chart settles it.
The Sun is in Gate 23, Assimilation

Gates change every five or six days, so near the edges your Sun may sit in the gate next door. Your chart shows the line too.
Your birthday number is 12, which reduces to 3
The birthday number is a specific talent carried in the day you arrived: the day of the month, 12, read on its own and as 3.
3, The Voice: Expression. Three is not performance; it is creativity, play, and the word that needs to be said out loud.
You are here to say it, write it and make it. The work is finishing one thing rather than starting five, because expression only lands once it is complete.
Read together, these say more than any one alone
