North Node in Virgo: you are growing toward service, discernment and humble mastery of a craft
The North Node, Rahu in Vedic astrology, is where life pulls you to grow.
You are growing toward service, discernment and humble mastery of a craft. Your familiar ground is retreat into feeling and imagination. The growth is doing the work, not only sensing it.
Virgo is earth, mutable and ruled by Mercury
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your North Node may be in Virgo in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Libra usually sits in sidereal Virgo, and a tropical Virgo North Node is often sidereal Leo.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.
