Sun in Taurus: Sidereal and Tropical
The Sun is identity: what you are building yourself around. In Taurus, your identity rests on what is real: what you can touch, hold and prove. Taurus is a earth sign, fixed, ruled by Venus. A sidereal Sun in Taurus is often a tropical Sun in Gemini.

The Sun is identity: what you are building yourself around.
Your identity rests on what is real: what you can touch, hold and prove. That is your strength, and it can become your trap when you keep holding what is solid after it has stopped being true.
Taurus is earth, fixed and ruled by Venus
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your Sun may be in Taurus in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Gemini usually sits in sidereal Taurus, and a tropical Taurus Sun is often sidereal Aries.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.

Is my Sun in Taurus sidereal or tropical?
It depends on the degree. The zodiacs are about 24° apart, so a late-Taurus tropical Sun is usually sidereal Taurus too, while an early one is sidereal Aries. Your chart settles it.
