The traditions · Human Design

There’s a right way for you to make decisions. It’s probably not the one you’ve been using.

Human Design is a system that uses your birth date, time and place to map how you make decisions, where your energy comes from, and how you respond to the people around you.

Your bodygraph is the picture of it: a diagram of your body with some parts filled in and some left open.

Every term is explained right where it shows up. No studying required.

What it calculates

  • Your type, strategy and authority
  • Your profile and its two lines
  • Defined and undefined centres
  • Active gates and channels
  • More chart details, whenever you want them

What it brings to your Manual

Human Design speaks to the energy questions: what restores you, what drains you, and how you reach a decision you trust. Like every map, it’s one lens on you, and we read it alongside the others.

  • FAME & REPUTATION: How your voice and expression tend to land, and when they land best.
  • HEALTH & FORTUNE: What restores you, and what rest actually looks like for you.
  • CAREER & INDIVIDUALITY: Where your energy is sustainable at work, and where it runs out.

It gets useful the moment you bring a real question.

What helps you make a decision you feel comfortable with? When do you feel pressured to keep up? Where do you notice yourself changing around other people?

Your reading brings Human Design's perspective to these questions. Then compare it with what you actually notice.

Your type is the headline, not the whole story.

A type is one part of the chart. Centres, channels, authority and profile add detail, which is why two people with the same type can receive different readings.

You can start with the overview and open individual parts of the bodygraph as you become familiar with it.

Definition is what stays consistent. Openness is what you take in.

In Human Design, defined centres describe qualities that are more consistent in you. Undefined centres describe where you take in the energy around you, and where conditioning tends to collect.

These terms belong to the system's symbolic framework. They are a starting point for observation, not a rule for how to behave.
