How should I set up my home for feng shui?
Good feng shui at home begins with principles that hold for everyone. Keep the entrance clear and welcoming. Give your bed and your desk a solid wall behind them. Let light and air move. Release what you are keeping only out of guilt. Most homes improve a great deal from these alone. If you do only one thing, clear the front door and the space beneath your bed.

The fuller answer
Most feng shui advice is written for an imagined person in an imagined house. Yours has a radiator under the window and one socket where the bed should go.
Personal feng shui takes it further. Your kua number names the directions that support you, and your personal element names the colours, materials and shapes that nourish you. Joined with the general principles, these turn someone else's rules into a home arranged for the person who lives in it. Two people sharing one flat would often arrange it differently.
Three places in a home matter more than all the rest.
Practitioners broadly agree on three priorities: the front door, the bed, and the desk or wherever you work.
The door is how energy and opportunity enter.
The bed is where you spend a third of your life recovering.
The desk is where you produce.
When these three are right, the rest is refinement. When you feel overwhelmed, begin there.
The bagua is a lens on your home, not a verdict on your life.
The bagua is a map laid over a floor plan, dividing it into nine areas: wealth, reputation, relationships, family, health at the centre, children and creativity, knowledge, career, and helpful people and travel.
Each area relates to a part of life. When one is neglected or cluttered, that part of life tends to feel stuck.
It is a useful lens.
It is also the part of feng shui most likely to cause alarm, such as finding the bathroom in the wealth area.
There are remedies, and they are usually small.
Feng shui adapts to rentals, small spaces and shared homes.
Most real homes do not allow perfect feng shui. Walls stay where they are. Partners have views about the bed.
Feng shui is flexible about this. Mirrors, rugs, lighting, the angle of a chair, what hangs where.
It is a set of adjustments, not a renovation.
Shared homes require negotiation, because different people have different best directions.
A considered compromise is better than sleeping toward your hardest direction out of politeness.

A look inside
Sample report · a fictional reader
Your home is not the difficulty. The pile of post by the front door is the place to begin.
The front door
Your entrance holds shoes, bags and a stack of post you have been avoiding. In feng shui, the entrance is where energy and opportunity arrive, and at present they arrive over clutter. It also means each day begins and ends with unfinished business underfoot. Clear it. A hook, a basket and a bin. This change costs nothing and matters more than anything else here.
Your bedroom
Your bed sits beneath the window, which feels pleasant and leaves you never fully at rest. A solid wall behind your head tells the body it is safe. Move the bed to the north wall, head toward your health direction, and stop storing things underneath it. That includes the box kept from a past relationship. Decide what stays, and let the rest go.
Your element
Your personal element is wood: growth, plants, greens, tall forms. Your flat is mostly white, grey and metal, which drains wood. You feel it as a low flatness at home and a faint lack of motivation. Bring in two or three living plants, something green visible from the bed, and one tall wooden piece. The room will begin to feel like yours.
How Soul Cartography reads it
This is not a list of fifty tips. It is a plan for your home, ordered by what makes the greatest difference for you, with solutions for the space as it really is, including the door that opens the wrong way.
It is written with the rest of you in mind, so the home it describes supports the way you actually rest, work and live.
Then it is written for you, in a real voice, not from a template. No sun-sign paragraphs. No definitions you could find on the first page of a search. Every line has to be true for your chart and nobody else's.
The method is not published, the same way a good doctor does not hand you the textbook. What can be said is this: every system is one lens on you, and none of them is read alone. Where they line up, the report says so. Where they pull apart, it says that too, because that is often the part you recognise first.
Questions people ask
I rent. Can I still do this?
Yes. Almost everything in your report concerns furniture, light, colour and clutter. Nothing needs drilling or painting, and your deposit is not at risk.
Do I need my birth time?
No. Your personal directions and element come from your date of birth. It helps to know roughly which way your front door and bedroom face. A phone compass is enough.
Is this just astrology?
No. Astrology is one voice in the room. It is not the whole room. Soul Cartography reads you through several systems at once: astrology in more than one zodiac, Human Design, Gene Keys, Cardology, numerology and more. Each one sees you from a different angle. On its own, any one of them can be general enough to fit almost anyone. Read together, something changes. When systems that have nothing to do with each other point at the same pattern, it stops being a horoscope. It becomes a description of you. Where they line up, that is worth noticing. Where they disagree, the report says so, because that tension is usually the most recognisable part of a person. Neither is thrown away. How the systems are weighed and combined stays ours. What you receive is the picture they make together.
How do I get my report?
By email, as a private link, within 24 hours. It is yours to keep. One purchase, no subscription. Most people come back to it later, often right after the thing it describes happens again.
