The short answers
Why do I keep ending up in the same relationship?
Repeating a relationship rarely means choosing the same person. It usually means choosing the same feeling. Something in the first few weeks feels familiar, and familiar is easily mistaken for right. Later, the familiar feeling becomes the familiar problem: the partner who pulls away, the partner who needs looking after, the partner who needs you a little smaller so that things stay calm.
Who am I naturally attracted to, and why?
Attraction is three forces that arrive as one feeling: what you desire, what you value, and what feels familiar. Desire is the spark, the movement towards someone before thought begins. Value is what you would build a life around. Familiarity is an old shape the body recognises. When all three point at the same person, attraction feels simple. When they do not, a familiar split appears: drawn to one kind of person, content with another.
