The short answers
What does cardology say about me?
Cardology is not fortune telling with playing cards. It is a calendar system that reads your date of birth through a standard deck of 52. Every day of the year belongs to one card, and that card is your birth card. The suit names the part of life you are built around: Hearts for love and belonging, Clubs for the mind and how you speak, Diamonds for value and worth, Spades for work, health and the deeper questions. The number names how that suit moves, from the Ace that begins things to the King that is asked to lead.
What does my birth card mean?
In cardology, your birth card is the playing card that governs your day of birth. It describes the core of you: what you want, how you go after it, and what you do when you do not get it. The suit names the part of life you are organised around. Hearts, love and belonging. Clubs, knowledge and communication. Diamonds, value and worth. Spades, work, health and wisdom. The number names the manner. Aces begin. Fours secure. Sevens are tested on faith. Kings are asked to lead.
What is my planetary ruling card?
In cardology, your planetary ruling card is the second card of real weight in your life. Your birth card is the core: what you want and why. Your ruling card is the manner: how you pursue it, the energy you lead with, the impression you make before anyone knows you. It is linked to the planet that rules your sun sign, which is why two people with the same birth card can feel so different in a room.
What does my life spread say about my life?
In cardology, the life spread arranges the whole deck in a grid, and every birth card has its own place in it. From your card, the cards that follow sit in a sequence of planetary positions. Mercury governs the mind and communication. Venus governs love, pleasure and family. Mars governs drive and conflict. Jupiter governs blessings and money. Saturn governs lessons, limits and health. Uranus governs the unexpected, work and freedom. Neptune governs dreams, travel and what cannot be seen clearly. Beyond them sit a long-range card and a lifelong challenge.
What does my spiritual spread card mean?
Cardology has more than one spread. The life spread describes the life you are living: its themes, its lessons, its weather. The spiritual spread, which some teachers call the natural or cosmic spread, is the deck laid out in its original order, before anything moved. Every card has a home position there too. It describes a deeper layer: what your card is like at rest, before the world gave it work to do.
What are my karma cards, and who are they in my life?
Karma in cardology does not mean punishment. It means an account that is still open. Most birth cards carry two karma cards. One describes what you came in owing: a pattern you are here to work through, often one you recognise in yourself and dislike most in others. The other describes what you came in being owed: a quality that reaches you more easily, often through people who seem oddly willing to offer it. Both appear as traits in you. Both appear as actual people.
What does my birth card say about love?
In cardology, your birth card's suit sets the tone of how you love. Hearts lead with feeling and need to feel chosen. Clubs need conversation, and a partner whose mind can meet theirs. Diamonds love through value: what is given, what is built, whether it is fair. Spades love through loyalty and effort, and show it by doing rather than saying. The number adds the manner. Twos seek partnership. Fives need freedom within it. Kings want to lead the relationship, whether or not they say so.
What do my cards say about money?
Cardology has a great deal to say about money, partly because one suit is devoted to it. Diamonds represent value: money, and also self-worth, fairness and what you believe you are allowed to have. But every card has a relationship with money. A Hearts card may earn well and give it all away. A Clubs card may earn through ideas and lose through overthinking. A Spades card may work hard enough to earn plenty and still never feel safe enough to stop.
What does my year ahead look like in cardology?
Every birthday, cardology lays out a new yearly spread. It runs from one birthday to the next and is built from your birth card and your age, so it changes every year. The year is divided into seven periods of 52 days, each governed in turn by a planet: Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Each period has its own card. A season for communication, one for love, one for effort, one for reward, one for reckoning, one for surprise, one for release.
Who's going to force me to grow up?
In cardology, every birth card has a Saturn card. Saturn is the part of life where you are asked to mature: to take responsibility, hold a boundary, and face what you would rather avoid. Anyone born as your Saturn card carries that position in relation to you. They carry it before you know their name.
What do the cards say about my whole life?
In cardology, your birth card is the core of you: the card for the day you were born. But it never acts alone. There is the card you lead with, the one people meet first. There are karma cards, which describe the people you came in owing and the people who owe you. And there is a life spread, a layout of the deck that places the themes you will meet again and again in love, money, work and timing.
Where am I in my life, and what is this year asking of me?
In cardology, your life is described by your birth card and the cards around it. That does not change. Each birthday, a new yearly spread is laid out for you, and it describes the year you are now living. It is divided into seven periods of 52 days each, and every period has its own card and its own emphasis.
What happens where my card meets my partner's?
In cardology, each of you has a birth card, and the two cards stand in a particular relationship to each other. Some connections describe attraction. Some describe karma, something one of you came in carrying for the other. Some describe a mirror, where you recognise yourself in each other. Some describe a challenge, where the other person presses on exactly the place you would rather not look.
Why is this relationship the way it is?
In cardology, the bond between any two people is described by how their birth cards meet. That holds for a parent and child, two siblings, or friends of thirty years. Some connections describe ease. Some describe a debt, something one of you came in carrying for the other. Some describe a mirror, and some describe a challenge.
Will we work well together?
In cardology, every birth card has a way of working. Some cards start things and lose interest once they run. Some cards finish what others start. Some lead. Some advise. Some need to own the outcome. When two cards work together, the connection between them describes where the partnership is strong and where the friction will come from.
What does each week of my year ask of me?
In cardology, the deck is a calendar. Fifty-two cards, fifty-two weeks. Each year after your birthday is divided into seven periods of 52 days, and within that year each week carries its own card. That card sets the tone of the week: what tends to come easily, what tends to need care, and where your attention is best spent.
