Standard vs Lunar Human Design
The short answer: Standard Human Design reads your Profile, your Earth point and two of your Variables from the Sun. Lunar Human Design is NightNight Charts' experimental extension, not part of Human Design: it reads those points from the Moon and recomputes the chart from there. Both start from the same birth and the same two moments. The first is the established system. The second is NightNight Charts', run in our engine and shown next to it, so you can see what changes when the Moon takes the wheel.

Common questions
Is lunar Human Design part of Human Design?
No. It is NightNight Charts' extension, which Soul Cartography computes. No Human Design school teaches it, and it is labelled as an extension wherever it appears.
Which one should I use?
The standard chart is the established system and the one practitioners will recognise. Read the lunar chart, if at all, as a comparison beside it.
Do I need an exact birth time?
For the lunar chart, more than for the standard one. The Moon moves about 13° a day, so its lines, and whether you were born by day or night, can change within minutes.
Is there a free lunar calculator?
Not at the moment. The method page sets out exactly how the lunar chart is calculated, and the free Human Design chart gives you the standard one.
