Mercury in Gemini: Sidereal and Tropical
Mercury is the mind: how you think, learn and talk. In Gemini, your mind keeps moving: connections, questions, tangents, contradictions, all at once. Gemini is a air sign, mutable, ruled by Mercury. A sidereal Mercury in Gemini is often a tropical Mercury in Cancer.

Mercury is the mind: how you think, learn and talk.
Your mind keeps moving: connections, questions, tangents, contradictions, all at once. Variety feeds you. Depth is the discipline. Stay with one thing long enough to master it.
Gemini is air, mutable and ruled by Mercury
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your Mercury may be in Gemini in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Cancer usually sits in sidereal Gemini, and a tropical Gemini Mercury is often sidereal Taurus.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.
