Mercury in Libra: you think in balance, weighing every angle
Mercury is the mind: how you think, learn and talk.
You think in balance, weighing every angle. That is real diplomatic skill. It can also keep you from deciding. A decision can be made and rebalanced later.
Libra is air, cardinal and ruled by Venus
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your Mercury may be in Libra in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Scorpio usually sits in sidereal Libra, and a tropical Libra Mercury is often sidereal Virgo.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.
