Saturn in Sagittarius: your lesson is grounding vision in reality
Saturn is the lesson: where you grow up, slowly, whether you like it or not.
Your lesson is grounding vision in reality. Large ideas come easily. Saturn asks you to support them with structure and follow-through, because enthusiasm without action dissipates.
Sagittarius is fire, mutable and ruled by Jupiter
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your Saturn may be in Sagittarius in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Capricorn usually sits in sidereal Sagittarius, and a tropical Sagittarius Saturn is often sidereal Scorpio.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.
