Venus in Sagittarius: you love freedom, adventure and people who widen your world
Venus is love and value: what you are drawn to and how you connect.
You love freedom, adventure and people who widen your world. Your heart opens most when you are exploring. Freedom can also be what you call it when you are avoiding commitment.
Sagittarius is fire, mutable and ruled by Jupiter
The element sets the temperament: fire acts, earth builds, air connects, water feels. The modality sets the motion: cardinal starts, fixed holds, mutable adapts. The ruler is the planet that carries the sign’s agenda.
Your Venus may be in Sagittarius in one zodiac and not the other
The tropical zodiac is tied to the seasons; the sidereal zodiac to the stars. They have drifted about 24 degrees apart, almost a whole sign. So a planet in the first two-thirds of tropical Capricorn usually sits in sidereal Sagittarius, and a tropical Sagittarius Venus is often sidereal Scorpio.
Neither is wrong. The tropical chart describes how you meet the world; the sidereal chart is the sky as it actually stood. We read both, plus True Sky and the draconic chart, and make sense of all four as one picture.
